A very odd series. Early on, I didn't think I could like it, but, well, it was well done, if confusing.
An innocent yet somewhat perverted young man encounters a mystical video store filled with videos of women. He goes home, immediately throwing it in a damaged VCR, and... out comes a woman. Very frequent very blatant sexual suggestions, yet this remains a rather innocent series, in an odd way. There's what seems to be a typical love triangle at first, but soon proves to be much more complicated. It often flows along the typical awkward love story, which itself is OK, but not truly noteworthy, but then it manages to go completely off the deep end -- but in a way that, somehow, works, and makes a really strange sort of sense.
Because of its truly odd nature, I can't really identify what makes the plot, or the characters appealing. I can say that I do like the animation style (although it can't even touch the manga). Ah, well. Another oddity.
