I watched this one recently, late at night, an hour and a half in a straight shot.

This was a really bizarre show. It took quite a while to tell where the story was going. It did get somewhere, eventually, though that can't really be seen as the reason to watch this movie. Reasonably cute, with characters and a storyline appropriate for young viewers (though it was so often so slow moving that I think it would lose the attention of children of a certain age and manner). But when it takes off into the bizarre, and you see Totoro, well, you can't help but smile. And a couple of the scenes made me laugh out loud.

Rather bland in some ways, but surprisingly pleasant, comfortable, and fun in others. Worth watching if you need something to pass the time, and don't really feel a need for fast-paced adventure.
