This sixth page is devoted to a submission I made to the first character featured in the Monthly Super-Deformed Anime Character site. It was Rei, so I thought I might be able to do something cute.

I was glad that the deadline was extended so that I could get it in. As it was, I would have liked to clean up the lines a bit more, but I want to be able to complete sketches more quickly. In this case, the entire time from rough sketch to clean sketch to scan to colored Photoshop version was about 4 hours. I ended up trying a variety of color schemes for the background gradient, and this is the one I liked the most. On a whim, I decided to see how a lens flare on the glasses would look, and I do prefer having it there.
