SCarab's Anime Links

It's amazing just how many things are out there on the web, and how easy much of it is to find, and how hard it can be to track down just which sites you liked. So, I've ended up jotting down just about everything I 've liked out there. That makes for a rather huge list, one that's rather certain of gathering quite a few broken links. If any of these pages are completely dead, let me know: I'll remove them from the list.

Image Archives
* http://psy-s.cjas.org/~mneideng/images A decent, quick image archive; ftp-style interface. (Note: run by the originator of the "Iterative Lodoss Scale" for ranking anime.)

The Anime archive Lodoss Wars, Il Porco Rosso, Star Blazers, pretty nice format.

Bigfire archive Ghost in the Shell, Gundam, Lodoss, etc.

An Iria Gallerey

SUNET ftp archive (Huge, but old stuff: mostly gifs in the anime section. Better fantasy stuff nearby.)

http://members.aol.com/SMak00/collectors.html OK, not really an image archive: A set of links to cel collectors' pages, through which I found the KOR site listed below.

Drawing Anime / Fan Art
http://artist.anime.net/ A huge listing of many anime fanartists on the net, with an extremely active bulletin board on which many pictures are posted.

****http://headquarters.clearscape.com/ Anime Artists Headquarters, formerly the Fan Art Headquarters. Includes a lot of great stuff, including links to all the monthlies, tips, and several online Manga. ("Semi-Deformed Teens" is rather fun, as is the impromanga (Turbo-speed) "Rosarius Next", an obvious FF7 (among others) take-off.)

http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Springs/8196/Monthlies.html The Monthly anime gallery directory, which tries to keep current on all of the monthly art sites.

http://members.xoom.com/jdillon/ A reasonably friendly fan artist; maintains the new Monthly Anime Villains site. Also some info about a PBEM (play by email) role playing game.

***http://urd.alphalink.com.au/ U aRe Drawing central: This has links to all the other drawing pages, nicely organized.

http://susanooh.anime.net/index.html Had a drawing page; looks like it's soon to be updated.

http://www.best.com/~serafica/index.shtml General learning page; appears to be infrequently updated.

http://cafeotaku.animeonline.org/pages/art.htmNot linked above, has some nice fan art and how to's; Much stuff here!

Kimagure Orange Road (Madoka)
****http://www.best.com/~yoo/ Really Nice cels from almost every episode in the series! Also some nice Key the Metal Idol and a few Gunbuster and Sailor Moon cels.

http://www2.netdoor.com/~cacklz/korlinks.html KOR links

Neon Genesis: Evangelion stuff
* Evangelion Info, movies, pics Slow, but pretty nice.

Evangelion Mysteries Explained Rather good job of explaining a few of the mysteries.

http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Vault/5763/evang.html Lots of general EVA stuff.

(Had Eva Info; that page now dead. Still has links, some other stuff)

Other Stuff
http://www.anipike.com/ The Anime turnpike; mainly used for its comprehensive and well-indexed sets of links.

http://honors.uhc.asu.edu/org/them/themanime/themanime.html A really nice set of reviews for many anime series. I really like the informal style of the summary and review, and it manages to be extremely informative without being very spolier intensive. NOTE: may be dead, may just be having temporary troubles.

http://www.projectanime.com/ A relatively slow site, but some nice links and reviews, etc. (Annoying note: it always claims that it's the source of all its links in the "Location" line.)

http://guardian.simplenet.com/Mark Sachs: links to online manga, and some other stuff. It's gotten better lately.
Robotech/Macross images

http://serpent.org/songs.shtml Anime Music (mp3's)

http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/4587/gallery.html Mostly thumbnials of just a few series; looks like it may be expanded soon. (Had been nearly dead for a while.)
