The winged technological/fantasy scarab, used extensively on the homepage, is from a painting by Michael Whelan, downloaded from http://www.glassonion.com/. He's one of my favorite fantasy artists. Of course all rights to this image belong to Michael Whelan. Check out that site, it's rather nice. (BTW, by now, I'm not sure how to find this image through any normal links, just by: http://www.glassonion.com/scarab.jpg.)
I've also used two other Whelan images: in the image interface, the "Links" picture is adapted from one of his works. Also in the image interface, the image of Yoda which links to the "Teaching" page is a small section of one of his works.
All rights to Babylon 5 belong to Warner Brothers. Many thanks to TNT for keeping it alive, and showing all of the episodes. I dont' recall exactly where I got the image I used in the SciFi section, but there are plenty of places on the net that have it.
Star Trek and Star Trek: the Next Generation are trademarks of Paramount Pictures, Inc. I'm sorry, but I do not remember where I got the animated gif which I used on my science fiction page. If you know who made it or where it can be found, please let me know.
The image used to go to the novel reviews page from the image interface is from a collection of royalty-free images I purchased, from Macmillan Digital Publishing, Inc.
The image used to go to the novel reviews page from the image interface is scanned from my copy of a short story compilation: The Best from Fantasy and Science Fiction, Eighth Series, © 1957, 1958, 1959.
The image used for the "Science" section is of the star Eta Carinae, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. NASA has several image sites, and this is just one of many outstanding pictures.
The anime girl used on the homepage and as the link to the anime page is an image of Rei, from Neon Genesis Evangelion, created and owned by Gainax. If you like this sort of thing at all, it's highly recommended.
The image used as the background for the anime section of my "intuitive image interface" is from Record of Lodoss War, a pretty good series, 13 episodes. I got the 2-DVD set for about $35. Another series well worth watching.
The image used as the "Comparisons" link for the anime section of my image interface page is from Tenchi Muyo, another enjoyable anime series. Their organization has put out a lot of artwork not directly from the series; a lot of it is really nice, though it's easy to be flooded during a web search.
The image I use for the anime "Links" on my image interface page is a piece of fanart. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I downloaded it from, nor who did it. If you know who created it, please let me know and I will give credit. If you created it and wish for me to remove it, please let me know and I will do so immediately.
The animated gif which I used on my anime page was pulled from a page with references to many different anime works, but I do not know which one. In fact, I've never seen that anime movie/show/??, but I thought that it looked rather nice. As always, if you deserve credit, I'll give it; if you want me to remove it, I will.
The weird Japan/England metallic beetle (used for my "Misc"ellaneous section) is an image by another fantasy artist, Hajime Sorayama. I've also used an image of his for the science sections "Links" image on the image interface page. I'm not sure which of the many image archives out there I found this at, but it shouldn't be terribly hard to find for those interested. Again, all rights to these image belong to Hajime Sorayama.
For the image interface page, the image for "Art Stuff" is a section of a work by Rene Magritte. If you like any surreal art, you're likely to love his stuff.
The image used to go to the "Humor" section is of Weird Al Yankovic, scanned by me from my copy of his "Bad Hair Day-- The Videos" video tape. The image in the background of the humor section in the image interface is scanned from my copy of his "Alapalooza" CD. His songs are a lot of fun. You can check out his site: http://www.weirdal.com/.
The gold scarab at the bottom of my "Weirdness" page is from The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County's scarab collection. The Egyptian Scarab picture used in my Weirdness/Astrology page is from The World Tree's page showing ancient Egyptian scarab art.. These have some nice pictures and interesting art. Check them out.
If I recall correctly, I may have used some backgrounds which people asked to recieve credit for. Unfortunately, as I've said, I gathered these before I ever intended to make a web page, and so I do not know if I used any of those or not. If I did, let me know, and I will give the credit it deserves.
Thanks to fortunecity for making this page possible.
